India, Sept. 9 -- Wednesday, Optic Cable Corp. (OCC), a fiber optic-based company, reported significantly higher profit in the third quarter of 2026, compared to the same quarter last year, due to the higher net sales generated.
In pre-market activity on the Nasdaq, the shares were trading 10.00 percent down at $12.33, after closing Tuesday's trading 1.08 percent lower.
Net income for the period rose to $1.86 million or $0.21 per share from $0.30 million or $0.04 per share in the same quarter a year ago.
Income from operations went up to $2.11 million from $0.56 million in the previous year.
Net sales for the period rose to $24.3 million from $19.92 million in the prior year.
