India, July 20 -- Overall consumer prices in New Zealand were up a seasonally adjusted 1.5 percent on quarter in the second quarter of 2026, Statistics New Zealand said on Monday - accelerating from 0.9 percent in the three months prior.

Higher quarterly prices were recorded for petrol, other vehicle fuels and lubricants and housing, while lower prices were observed for fruit and domestic accommodation services.

On a yearly basis, inflation climbed 4.1 percent - up from 3.1 percent in the previous quarter.
