India, July 18 -- Grateful Dead have announced Summer Magic 1985, a new 20-CD boxed set celebrating the 40th anniversary of the band's Twenty Years So Far tour. The collection is scheduled for release on September 18.
Limited to 10,000 individually numbered copies, the collection features seven previously unreleased concerts from the band's 20th anniversary tour and will be available exclusively through Dead.net. Digital ALAC and high-resolution FLAC editions will also be released the same day.
The box set includes performances from the band's three anniversary shows at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California, as well as concerts at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Hershey Park Stadium and Merriweather Post Pavilion. All recordings were...
