India, May 17 -- The Library of Congress has announced the annual selection of 25 sound recordings to the National Recording Registry for preservation.

The 2026 class of inductees spans 70 years, starting with Spike Jones' "Cocktails for Two" from 1944 to Taylor Swift's 1989 album, released in 2014. For the third time, video game music was selected, and this year it goes to the Doom soundtrack. Weezer led this year's inductees with the most public nominations.

The 2026 Class Of Inductees include Reba McEntire's 1990 album, Rumor Has It, Beyonce's 2008 single, "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" and The Fight of the Century, Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier, Mutual Radio Networks Fight Night Radio Program, broadcast on March 8, 1971.
