India, July 4 -- Metallica's Kirk Hammett and Rob Trujillo ignored a ban and performed a bit of the Tom Jones classic "De1ilah" during their show at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on Sunday, June 28.

Throughout their nearly four-year M72 World Tour, Trujillo and Hammett have honored local music legends during each stop, with Sunday's tribute dedicated to Welsh icon Tom Jones.

However, they chose Jones' iconic 1968 Billboard Hot 100 No. 15 hit "De1ilah," which has been banned from being performed by choirs in the stadium during rugby matches over the song's violent lyrics for several years.
