India, Sept. 22 -- MAIA Biotechnology Inc. (MAIA), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, on Tuesday announced reaching a target enrollment of 65 patients in the Phase 3 THIO-104 trial for Ateganosine as a third-line therapy in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Ateganosine (6-thio-2'-deoxyguanosine) works by a dual mechanism therapy to break down telomere structure and function, while inducing immune activation against cancer cells. The investigational telomere-targeting agent induces telomerase-dependent modification of telomeric DNA, leading to selective cancer cell death.
