India, July 9 -- Lil Wayne has dismissed reports that he is engaged, instead revealing that he recently split from his former girlfriend.
Lil Wayne posted a video on Instagram confirming that he and Madi Cannon are no longer together, while also shutting down rumors that the former couple had been engaged.
"I would like to clear something up: No, I'm not engaged. I had a beautiful thing going with an amazing person, but obviously due to the validity of the temperature of today's world and culture, I considered [that] I don't want to be such a burden on such an amazing person," he said. "So we decided to part. Sucks."
