India, Sept. 15 -- The total value of core machinery orders in Japan was down a seasonally adjusted 3.7 percent on month in July, the Cabinet Office said on Wednesday - coming in at 1.016 trillion yen.

That missed expectations for a decline of 1.2 percent following the 9.7 percent increase in June.

On a yearly basis, orders climbed 11.2 percent - again shy of expectations for a gain of 15.3 percent and down from 16.9 percent in the previous month.
