India, Sept. 4 -- Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. (NTLA), a biopharmaceutical company focused on CRISPR gene editing, announced Friday that it secured a $400 million non-dilutive senior secured term loan facility from OrbiMed.

The facility includes $75 million funded at closing, with an additional $225 million available in five milestone-based tranches, primarily tied to lonvoguran ziclumeran (lonvo-z). Another $100 million may become available during the five-year term, subject to mutual agreement between the parties.

Lonvo-z is an investigational in vivo CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing therapy designed to permanently reduce kallikrein levels by inactivating the KLKB1 gene with a single outpatient-administered dose.
