India, Oct. 2 -- CPT Editorial Panel approved new Category I CPT codes that specifically describe and include the Inspire V hypoglossal nerve stimulation system. The new codes are scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2028.
According to the company, the new coding language covers implantation of a single lead and an implantable pulse generator and is expected to support a clearer reimbursement pathway for Inspire therapy.
The next step will be a review by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service (CMS), with proposed valuations expected in July 2027 and final valuations anticipated in November 2027.
INSP closed Thursday's trading at $70.78, up 2.05%. In after-hours trading the stock is at $70.50, down 0.40%.
