India, Aug. 12 -- The Indonesia stock market on Tuesday snapped the two-day slide in which it had retreated more than 140 points or 2.2 percent. The Jakarta Composite Index now rests just beneath the 6,375-point plateau although it may hand back some of those gains on Thursday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is murky amidst a lack of catalysts. The European markets were down and the U.S. bourses were mixed and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.
