India, June 2 -- The Indonesia stock market on Tuesday snapped the two-day slide in which it had given up almost 80 points or 1.3 percent. The Jakarta Composite Index now sits just beneath the 6,200-point plateau and it's expected to open to the upside again on Wednesday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is mildly positive on hopes for an end to hostilities in the Middle East. The European and U.S. markets were up and the Asian bourses are expected to open in similar fashion.
