India, Oct. 22 -- Indian shares were notably lower in early trade on Thursday as a drone attack on Saudi Aramco's Shaybah oil field as well as another attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, heightened concerns over further disruptions to energy supplies.

The benchmark 30-share BSE Sensex dropped 424 points, or 0.6 percent, to 73,285 while the NSE Nifty index was down 182 points, or 0.8 percent, at 22,630.
