India, July 14 -- Shares of International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) plunged more than 24% on Tuesday after the company released selected preliminary second-quarter 2026 results, warning that software and infrastructure performance fell short of expectations ahead of its full earnings report later this month.

The stock is currently trading at $219.60, down $70.63, or 24.34%, after opening at $226.37. It previously closed at $290.23 and has traded in a 52-week range of $212.34 to $332.46.
