India, Aug. 24 -- The Hong Kong stock market on Monday halted the five-day winning streak in which it had rallied more than 880 points or 3.5 percent. The Hang Seng Index now sits just above the 25,515-point plateau and it's likely to open to the downside again on Tuesday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is weak, especially among the technology and energy companies. The European and U.S. markets were mixed to lower and the Asian markets are also likely to track to the downside.
