India, June 17 -- Hong Kong's unemployment rate increased in the March-May period, labor force statistics from the Census and Statistics Department showed on Tuesday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 3.5 percent in March-May, up slightly from 3.4 percent in the February-April period.
The data showed that the underemployment rate rose to 1.4 percent from 1.3 percent.
On an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate also rose to 3.6 percent from 3.4 percent.
The number of unemployed persons was 135,800, compared to 129,400 in the February-April period.
