India, Aug. 2 -- The Indonesia stock market has finished higher in two straight sessions, advancing more than 140 points or 2.3 percent in that span. The Jakarta Composite Index now rests just above the 6,230-point plateau and the win streak may continue on Monday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is positive, with retail and energy stocks expected to lead the way higher. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were up and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.
