India, June 28 -- Halestorm's Lzzy Hale has covered Soundgarden's 1989 single "Loud Love" for the King Ultramega Project.
The latest Soundgarden cover for the Chris Cornell tribute project also featured Pearl Jam drummer Dave Krusen, bassist Mark Menghi and Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick.
Proceeds from the track will benefit mental health charity MusiCares.
Speaking about her cover of "Loud Love," the Halestorm singer/guitarist said, "I don't think I've ever been a good imitator, but I did try to put myself in Chris' shoes. It's more about placing yourself inside the song so you can steal its soul. I like to imagine I am the writer and then go about making it my own whilst honoring the original.
