India, Nov. 6 -- The U.K. stock market's benchmark index FTSE 100 fell to a four-week low Friday morning as a sell-off in global equity markets rendered the mood bearish right from the start.
Uncertainty about the potential economic impact of the Democrats' sweeping win in the US midterm elections contributed to the reduced risk appetite in global markets.
The FTSE 100 was down 245.86 points or 2.28% at 10,536.80 a few minutes before noon.
