India, Oct. 20 -- Haemonetics Corp. (HAE), a medical technology company, announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of the PerQseal Elite vascular closure system for large-bore arterial procedures.
PerQseal Elite is a sutureless large-bore vascular closure system used after structural heart and endovascular procedures. The device uses a fully bioabsorbable patch to seal vessel access sites from within the artery, enabling rapid hemostasis without leaving a permanent implant behind.
PerQseal Elite is designed to allow physicians to confirm vessel closure while maintaining guidewire access, with the option to reposition or retrieve the device before final deployment.
