India, Oct. 6 -- Despite largely weak regional economic data, and concerns over France's fiscal woes and political uncertainty, European markets closed mostly higher on Tuesday as lower crude oil prices and Euro zone bond yields helped lift sentiment.

Brent crude futures fell to $97.06 a barrel before recovering some lost ground but still remained well below previous closing level by the time the European markets closed.
