India, Oct. 8 -- Edgewise Therapeutics (EWTX) announced that the first patient has been dosed in the Phase 2 EQUINOX-HFpEF trial evaluating EDG-15400 in adults with symptomatic heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and a left ventricular ejection fraction of at least 50%.
EDG-15400 is an investigational oral, selective cardiac sarcomere modulator designed to address impaired cardiac relaxation, a key feature of HFpEF that contributes to symptoms and disease burden.
The multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial is expected to enroll approximately 90 adults aged 30 to 84 with HFpEF and New York Heart Association class II or III symptoms.
