India, July 9 -- Pixies' classic album Surfer Rosa is a "perfect record," according to Dave Grohl.
In a new interview with BBC 6 Music, he was asked to name the album that he feels is "perfect".
The Foo Fighters frontman named Pixies' 1988 debut album, produced by Steve Albini, as one that deserves to be called perfect.
"I love that record so much for a lot of reasons. One, that it was produced by the almighty Steve Albini," Grohl said. "And it was maybe the first album to become popular and showcase his incredible engineering sonic technique."

He called Pixies' frontman Black Francis "an amazing lyricist."
