India, Sept. 9 -- Context Therapeutics Inc. (CNTX), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, announcement on Wednesday the dosing of the first patient in the Phase 1 trial for CT-202 in treating Nectin-4 positive tumors. Nectin-4 is a cell surface protein present on cells of solid tumors in bladder, colorectal, lung and breast cancers. The surface antigen was identified as a viable target for certain immunotherapies, as it is frequently overexpressed in certain malignancies. However, previous antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) formulations targeting Nectin-4 led to adverse effects such as neuropathy and rashes.
