India, Sept. 6 -- The Black Music Action Coalition has announced the honorees for its sixth annual BMAC Gala, with Common, Patti LaBelle and Public Enemy among the music figures set to be recognized on September 24 in Beverly Hills.
LaBelle will receive the BMAC Icon Award, honoring a career spanning more than six decades. Common will receive the Harry Belafonte Change Agent Award for his work across music, film and social advocacy, including through his Common Ground Foundation. Public Enemy will receive the Social Impact Award for its influential role in politically conscious hip-hop.
The 2026 gala will also introduce the Sylvia Rhone Visionary Award, with Interscope executive Nicole Wyskoarko named its inaugural recipient. The new hono...
