India, July 2 -- Cemtrex, Inc. (CETX) shares surged 23.93 percent or $0.67, to $3.47 on Thursday after the company announced that its Advanced Industrial Services subsidiary acquired Plant Engineering Services, an Indiana-based engineering firm specializing in hydraulic and mechanical press systems and complex manufacturing equipment.
The stock is currently trading at $3.47, compared with its previous close of $2.80 on the Nasdaq. It opened at $3.40 and has traded between $3.21 and $4.03 during the session. Trading volume reached 20.19 million shares, well above its average daily volume of 344,618 shares.
Cemtrex shares have traded in a 52-week range of $2.71 to $220.50.
