India, Aug. 9 -- Country star Carrie Underwood is set to return as the featured performer in NBC's "Sunday Night Football" show open for a 14th consecutive season, beginning September 13 on NBC and Peacock.
This year's opening sequence features Underwood in three settings - a recording studio, an intimate music venue and a stadium concert - performing a new rendition of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' classic "I Hate Myself for Loving You," the long-running anthem for the broadcast.
