India, April 29 -- Canadian stocks drifted lower on Wednesday, weighed down by persisting concerns about the ongoing conflict between the U.S. and Iran and its potential impact inflation and overall economic growth. Meanwhile, the Bank of Canada left its interest rates unchanged as widely expected for the fourth consecutive meeting.
Materials, technology and industrials stocks fell. Several stocks from real estate and utilities sectors too fell. Energy stocks moved higher, tracking firm oil prices.
