India, June 19 -- The Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music has opened at Monmouth University in New Jersey, celebrating the legacy of Bruce Springsteen and the broader history of American music.
Designed by CookFox Architects, the 32,000-square-foot facility features a 240-seat theater, interactive exhibits, gallery spaces, research archives, a rehearsal studio and a reading room. The $50 million center houses Springsteen's personal archives, which he donated to the university in 2017.
The steel-framed building is clad in weathered steel panels inspired by New Jersey's industrial heritage and includes a boardwalk-style entrance and landscaped grounds.
