India, Aug. 18 -- Baidu Inc. (BIDU) shares fell $12.77, or 12.26 percent, to $91.35 on Tuesday, after the company reported lower second-quarter profit and revenue compared with a year earlier.
The stock opened at $94.35 and traded between $91.00 and $97.44 during the session on the Nasdaq. It has traded in a 52-week range of $84.82 to $165.30. Trading volume reached 8.31 million shares, compared with an average daily volume of 2.31 million shares.
Net income fell to RMB2.319 billion, or RMB5.74 per share, from RMB7.322 billion, or RMB20.35 per share, a year earlier. Adjusted earnings were RMB2.573 billion, or RMB7.22 per share. Revenue declined 4.2 percent to RMB31.325 billion from RMB32.713 billion.
