India, April 15 -- The Australian market is trading slightly higher on Thursday, extending the gains in the previous two sessions, following the mixed cues from Wall Street overnight. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 is moving to near the 9,000 mark, with strong gains in technology stocks partially offset by weakness in gold miners, energy and financial stocks.
The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 Index is gaining 4.70 points or 0.05 percent to 8,983.40, after touching a high of 9,017.20 earlier. The broader All Ordinaries Index is up 13.30 points or 0.15 percent to 9,194.40. Australian stocks ended slightly higher on Wednesday.
