India, Sept. 4 -- The Australian dollar strengthened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Friday, as recent Australia's economic data raised the prospect of an interest rate hike by the Reserve Bank of Australia or the RBA as soon as this month.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics or the ABS reported on Wednesday that Australia's economy expanded 0.4 percent QoQ in the second quarter (Q2), marginally above projections.
