India, Sept. 23 -- The Australian dollar weakened against other major currencies in the European session on Wednesday, following the disappointing release of flash PMIs, which revealed a slowdown in services activity and a contraction in the manufacturing sector.
Data from S&P Global showed that the Australia's private sector grew at the slowest pace in three months in September. The composite output index dropped to 50.8 from 52.7 in August. However, a reading above 50.0 indicates expansion.
