India, Aug. 31 -- Ascendis Pharma A/S (ASND) announced on Monday that it has entered into a binding term sheet with BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (BMRN) for a global settlement and license agreement covering YUVIWEL (navepegritide) and related products.
YUVIWEL (navepegritide) is a once-weekly prodrug of C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) designed to provide continuous exposure to active CNP and counteract overactive FGFR3 signaling in achondroplasia.
The agreement resolves all litigation and disputes between the companies and gives Ascendis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-bearing license to research, develop, manufacture, and commercialize navepegritide-related products without restriction.
