India, Sept. 4 -- Van Halen drummer and co-founder Alex Van Halen has been knighted in The Netherlands, his native country.
One of the greatest drummers of all time, Alex was knighted in the Order of the Netherlands Lion in recognition of his remarkable career and for his contribution to music.
The Order of the Netherlands Lion, the highest civilian honor available in the Netherlands, is awarded to recognize merit in arts, science, sport and literature.
