India, Sept. 3 -- A new study found that the number of cancer deaths in the U.S. linked to alcohol doubled between 1990 and 2023.
Researchers at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, looked at more than 30 years of data from the Global Burden of Disease study. They found that the number of alcohol-related cancer deaths each year increased from 11,361 in 1990 to 23,126 in 2023.
