India, Sept. 5 -- Alanis Morissette has taken legal action against her former tour manager, Keren Urinov, accusing her of threatening to falsely report Morissette for drug trafficking to British authorities unless she signed a 15-year employment contract.
Rolling Stone reported that the lawsuit was filed on September 1 at a federal court in Los Angeles. It states: "Plaintiff Alanis Morissette is the victim of a calculated blackmail campaign orchestrated by a disgruntled former tour manager. Morissette will not agree to work with an incompetent blackmailer for the next fifteen years or pay her a ransom under the gun."
