India, Aug. 26 -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (A) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $362 million, or $1.28 per share, compared with $336 million, or $1.18 per share, in the year-ago quarter.
Revenue for the quarter rose 8.1% to $1.878 billion from $1.738 billion a year earlier. Core revenue increased 7.3%.
Adjusted net income increased to $459 million, or $1.62 per share, from $390 million, or $1.37 per share, in the prior-year quarter.
Agilent reported an operating margin of 23.6%, up 290 basis points year over year, while adjusted operating margin expanded 320 basis points to 28.3%.
