India, Aug. 27 -- Abbott Laboratories (ABT) announced on Thursday that it received CE Mark for the Amulet 360 Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Occluder, a next-generation device designed to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (Afib).
The first European procedures using Amulet 360 have been completed in Germany and Denmark, with Abbott planning to expand use of the device across European countries in the coming weeks. Amulet 360 is a minimally invasive LAA closure device intended for patients with AFib who are unable to take blood-thinning medication for long term.
