France, Sept. 12 -- Since Dion arrived in Paris on 28 August, there has been a constant buzz of excitement outside the Royal Monceau Hotel in the city's upmarket 8th district near the Champs-Elysees.

Every day, dozens of fans camp outside in the hope of catching a glimpse of their idol.

When the 58-year-old announced her Paris tour in March, 9 million people signed up for advance tickets for shows scheduled between 12 September and 17 October.
