UML Secy Basnet warns of protests if PM does not resign after UNGA
Nepal, Sept. 9 -- CPN-UML Secretary Mahesh Basnet has warned that protests will be launched if Prime Minister Balendra Shah does not resign after returning from the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Speaking at an event in Gundu on Wednesday, Basnet said restoring the previous House of Representatives, dissolved after the Gen Z movement, would become an agenda of the protest movement.
He said the issue would be a key agenda at the party's meeting scheduled for September 22 and 23. "Some colleagues have asked about restoring the previous parliament. We will discuss it at this meeting," he said.
