Nepal, Aug. 31 -- Two CCTV cameras are being installed along the Nepal-China border to monitor the river and provide early warning of potential flooding.

The Centre for Hydrology and Water Resources Research said the cameras are being installed following the formation of a lake after the Bhotekoshi flood, amid concerns that it could burst at any time.

Flood expert Sauhard Joshi said the cameras will make it easier to visually monitor river flow and assess potential risks.

The cameras are being installed to help provide advance information to communities following the Bhotekoshi flood on August 26.
