Nepal, Aug. 14 -- Police have arrested two men accused of buying bones from cremated bodies at the Pashupati Aryaghat. The suspects are identified as 42-year-old Ramanandan Thakur of Lalbandi, Sarlahi, and 41-year-old Mishrilal Yadav of Saptari.

The arrests follow a case from July 23, when police detained Ganesh Prasad Dhakal and Binayak Mainali, both from Kavre, on suspicion of selling bones from the body of Ram Shahi of Kavre during cremation.

According to SP Apil Bohara of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range, Thakur and Yadav were apprehended from Kapan and Gausighat, respectively. Bone powder and ashes were seized from Thakur's possession.
