Nepal, Feb. 26 -- Tourist vehicles operating on the day of the House of Representatives (HoR) election must obtain official permission at least two days in advance, according to new provisions issued by the Election Commission (EC).

The arrangement has been outlined in the Vehicle Permit Procedures, 2082 issued by the EC. The provision allows the operation of tourist vehicles on election day, noting that neither domestic nor international flights will be suspended.

EC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said vehicles transporting tourists may operate after securing prior approval from the concerned District Administration Office, while permits in Kathmandu must be obtained directly from the EC at least two days before the election.
