Nepal, May 23 -- The secretariat of the taskforce formed to prepare a discussion paper on constitutional amendment, 2083 BS, has sought suggestions from the general public.

The secretariat said the move aims to ensure the participation of all Nepalis in the constitutional amendment process.

Citizens have been requested to submit written suggestions within a week.

The taskforce, led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah's political advisor Asim Shah, has already collected suggestions from various political parties through discussions. As part of the process, discussions were also held with constitutional experts, legal practitioners, advocates, former administrators, former diplomats, media personnel and political figures.
