Nepal, July 9 -- Speaker DP Aryal on Thursday urged opposition lawmakers to allow the House of Representatives to resume business after they again obstructed proceedings over Prime Minister Balendra Shah's controversial remarks on the Nepal-India border.

Opposition lawmakers stood in protest as soon as the House convened, continuing their demand for the prime minister's clarification over his May 31 statement that Nepal had also encroached on India's territory.

Addressing the House, Aryal said the same issue had been raised repeatedly for an extended period and requested the opposition to designate a single lawmaker to present its position instead of having all members protest simultaneously.
