Taplejung, Oct. 4 -- A Bolero jeep heading to Panchthar from Dharan plunged into the Tamor River, killing six people. Panchthar's Chief District Officer Arun Pokharel said that five bodies have been recovered so far and preparations are underway to retrieve the remaining one.
He said six others were injured. Among them, one has been sent to Phidim for treatment and the other five have been taken to Dharan.
According to Province Police Chief and DIG Ishwar Karki, the jeep fell nearly 500 meters down into the river while traveling from Dharan to Panchthar.
