Seti Khola Hydropower Project begins trial power generation
Nepal, July 10 -- The 22-megawatt Seti Khola Hydropower Project has commenced electricity generation in Pokhara Metropolitan City-33, Kaski. Developed by Seti Khola Hydropower Limited, construction of the project began in November 2021.
Electricity from the facility is now being supplied to the national transmission grid on a trial basis following inspection and testing by a technical team from the Nepal Electricity Authority, according to company director Deepak Baral.
Baral said the project will remain under trial operation for 15 days before entering regular commercial generation. During this period, electricity will continue to be fed into the grid while equipment undergoes technical testing.
