RSP MP Ramesh Prasai says he feels ashamed over broken election promises
Nepal, Aug. 7 -- Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Ramesh Prasai has criticized the government, saying he feels "ashamed" when he recalls the promises he made during the election campaign.
Speaking at Friday's meeting of the House of Representatives, Prasai said he had campaigned on the promise that, under an RSP-led government, citizens would be able to access government services online instead of standing in long queues.
He said the situation has instead deteriorated, with people now forced to queue for essential goods and public services.
"Seeing people stand in line all day, overnight and even until midnight just to get cooking gas has genuinely made me feel ashamed," he said.
