Nepal, April 29 -- Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Ganesh Karki has criticized the government's recent move to recommend an ordinance after his old Facebook post-criticizing a similar move by the then KP Sharma Oli-led government-resurfaced on social media.

Taking to social media on Wednesday, Karki said that a government with a near two-thirds majority halting the parliamentary session to introduce an ordinance cannot be considered a brave act.

He argued that while the move may follow the letter of the Constitution, it undermines its spirit. "For a party with a near two-thirds majority, whether bringing an ordinance after suspending the House is a compulsion or something else will become clear later-but it is not bravery," he ...
